A new speaker series featuring leading experts in child psychology, mental health, and wellness designed to support families as they navigate the new challenges and opportunities presented by our increasingly complex, digital world.
An Evening with Dr. Nicholas Kardaras
MONDAY, APRIL 14, 5:30–7 PM
We're all in uncharted territory when it comes to our Brave New World of living life online. Our devices are scientific marvels that can offer many benefits—but what's the dark side of our screen love affair? More importantly, how are our devices affecting our most valuable resource—our children?
In this presentation and conversation with one of the country's leading experts on screen time, Dr. Kardaras will look at the social, psychological, developmental and neurological impact of smart phones, social media and gaming and the effects on our kids. He'll also address the questions that most families are wrestling with: How much screen time is too much? At what age should I get my child a smart phone? What do I do if I think my child has developed a serious problem with either their screen overuse and/or their mental health?
Ross parents, guardians, and educators are invited to this not-to-be-missed event, sponsored by the Ross School Parents Association. After the talk, stay for a meet-and-greet with refreshments and have your book signed by the author.
