What is the Raven Fund?


The Raven Fund is our community-wide fundraising effort that supports Ross’ programming, pedagogy, and students. Your donation to the Raven Fund impacts every aspect of the student experience.

Giving to the school can come in many forms: gifts of service, gifts in-kind, gifts of securities, and cash gifts to the school. Please contact advancement@ross.org with any questions or to discuss other methods of giving.

To make a donation of stock or marketable securities to the Ross School please:

  • Contact your brokerage company or custodian who holds your stock or marketable securities

  • You will need to obtain a transfer of ownership form

  • Once you have the form, please reach out to the Ross School’s Registered Investment Advisor firm, OneDigital for information

Why Give: Your Philanthropy Matters


Ross School’s world-class education is made possible by the commitment and participation of our community. Trustees, parents, alumni, faculty and staff, grandparents, and friends all work to advance the Ross mission of creating thoughtful and inspiring life-long learners with their gifts of time, talent, and funding. 

As with all independent schools, tuition alone does not cover the full cost of educating our students. Currently, the gap between tuition and operating expenses is about $5000 per student. These remaining costs are covered by philanthropic donations to the Raven Fund.

If you are able, please consider contributing to the Raven Fund to close the gap. Every dollar counts and every student benefits from your support!

  • We encourage donations at any level, as every gift makes a significant impact. Many families choose to contribute between $500 and $5,000, reflecting the gap between tuition and the true cost of education. Your support, regardless of the amount, helps enhance the Ross educational experience and ensures we can continue to provide outstanding programs for our students.

  • As with all independent schools, tuition doesn’t cover the costs of our operations. The Raven fund has a direct impact on the Ross educational experience. The gap between tuition and operating expenses has been around $5000 per student.

  • Yes! Every gift helps, no matter the size. Every donation will help contribute to reducing the gap per student and achieve our mission of creating thoughtful and inspiring life-long learners

  • Yes! Ross is a not-for-profit organization under the Federal Internal Revenue Code. Unlike tuition payments, all contributions to the Raven Fund are deductible pursuant to prevailing tax laws. All donors receive a letter noting their gift amount and the date of their gift.
